Pinnacle Honor Society

Weber State University Chapter

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Weber State University Chapter of Pinnacle Honor Society for Nontraditional Students is to formally and nationally recognize qualifying Nontraditional students for their unique and outstanding accomplishments.

To qualify for this honor society, the student must meet the following criteria: qualify as nontraditional; be junior or senior student status; have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; be involved in at least three campus and/or community activities, including family; demonstrate leadership, persistence, and future promise; and maintain the highest ethical standards.

Students are selected after a thorough screening of applications by the Pinnacle Chapter, with no more than ten percent of the adult and nontraditional student population on campus holding membership in the society. Induction of new members takes place once each year.

Pinnacle Honor Society for Nontraditional Students is aware of the unique needs of the nontraditional student, including lack of spare time and finances. Therefore, the society only requires a one-time membership fee of $30. Included in this cost is the official honor society pin and certificate. Furthermore, the goal of the honor society is to keep meetings and activities to a minimum where appropriate.

The primary purpose of the honor society is to provide the deserving qualified students with recognition on a local and national level, which can be used on résumés, applications, etc.
