Need Help Choosing Your Major? The Weber State University Pre-Dental Club was established to try to help students that are interested in choosing Denstistry as a career. One of the most frustrating and often costly decisions a student faces is sorting out their academic path. Misinformation and confusion has led many students to take expensive, unnecessary classes, and even change majors midway through their schooling. In order to alleviate the confusion and help Pre-Dental students to chose a major and plan out their academic pathway we have assembled some resources that will clarify the requirements and provide guidance to you throughout the completion of your bachelors degree. A student may choose any major they wish if they are interested in applying to dental school as long as the basic Pre-Dental requirements are met. However, three of the most popular major's for Pre-Dental students are Chemistry, Microbiology and Zoology. Here is a breakdown of each of those three majors and how the Pre-Dental requirements overlap with each major, as well as resources like helpful links, forums, tools, etc. |
