PSAC Minutes
January 14, 2003


1. Welcome–Ron Jensen
Present: Ron Jensen, Drew Weidman, Wendell Rich, Marsha Richter, Cindy Stokes,
Lori Drake, Nancy Collinwood, Gloria Perez-Jensen, David Eisler, Woodie Slaughter.

2. Approval of minutes:
Marsha motioned to approve, Wendell seconded.

3. PSAC meeting needs to be changed to the second Monday of the month as follows:
February 10th, March 10th–Drew will be presiding in Ron’s absence, April 14th,
May 12th and June 9th.

4. The following new professional staff employees have joined our campus since the first of the year: Jamie Bergseng, Jill Grob, R.J. Mendenhall and Wolfgang Possie.
The following professional staff have left since November: Carl Arky, Susan Shainer, Clara Puffer, Jolene Clark, Freddie Cooper and Lynette Belka..

5. Marsha and Drew will be attending UHESA in St. George.

6. Ron talked with Dr. Livingston...will probably attend meeting in February.

7. David Eisler on legislature in December: Final reduction to the budget from the legislature will have an impact of about $3 mil. of one time money.

8. A discussion ensued about staff morale across campus. Is there anything that can be done to make morale better?, What can we do to be helpful? Dr. Eisler suggested some cross communication between CSAC & PSAC, possibly participating in a project together, etc.

9. Cindy, Nancy and Gloria said they would work together on writing a grant for staff development.
