P'Sack' Awardee of the Month
BIOGRAPHY
Ben is an avid guitarist and
is fluent in Spanish.
"For me, the best thing about
working at WSU is the people. There are so many kind, talented, and
interesting people in our campus community. It is a pleasure to get to
know them and see how each person contributes to Weber State. Alan
Livingston is a great person and I'm glad I get to work with him."
Ben graduated from the
children's school at WSU at the tender age of
four or five. He enjoyed it
so much that he came back to WSU and obtained a B.S. in Computer
Science. Ben is an avid guitarist and has quite
the collection of guitars. He also is fluent in Spanish and spent two
years in Santiago, Chile. Ben's father, Louis Barraza, has been
an employee at Weber for over 30 years and
Ben said -- "like a
good father -- has been a great support to me in everything I do."
NOMINATION SELECTION
Ben serves the campus community with
dedication and perseverance. He is easy to work with whether you are an
end user (with the new portal), a programmer working with a portal
application, or a colleague needing his input for a project. His
range of expertise is so broad that so many people throughout the campus
call on him for assistance. His manner is helpful, gracious, and
sincere.
