The Society of Women
Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit
educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force
that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career
aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance
in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing
contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.

Why Join?
Membership in the Society of Women Engineers
provides many benefits. Members can benefit directly form the
networking and
employment
resources, as well as from the many opportunities for
professional
development. The Society provides excellent leadership training at the
local, regional, and national levels through opportunities to participate in
committees or serve as committee chairs or officers.
Many of
SWE's leaders
have found the organization an ideal place to learn leadership skills while
providing a safe environment to make mistakes while learning from them.
Members who are interested in outreach programs will also find many
opportunities for outreach to students from elementary school through college
age through the many career guidance programs sponsored by SWE. We hope
