I would like to express my appreciation to those who attended the Utah Advising & Orientation Association (UAOA) 2009 conference in Midway and hope the experience was enjoyable.

I have had the opportunity to speak with many of you about the UAOA 2010 conference and hope to clarify any concerns about the change in venue.

Because this is a state wide organization, our goal is to seek out a variety of locations in order to serve all institutions of higher education. With current budget challenges the committee decided to have the conference in Salt Lake City this year in hopes to cut back on travel and lodging expenses.

 This was a difficult decision, but I assure you the beautiful LDS Business College is conference friendly with many “great” local attractions and reasonably priced lodging close by.

 I am looking forward to trying someplace new and excited to serve on the Utah Advising & Orientation Association Committee with such an incredible group of colleagues!

 I hope to see you all next year and welcome your comments, questions, thoughts, ideas, concerns, etc…
